Group Description: A LifeGroup with Church On the Rock.
Our quality of life can be deeply impacted by our perspective. The way we view things can change the way we feel about them. This life group is intended to help you see everything through a biblical perspective. Gain some new friends while learning an overview of the entire Bible, and build some practices of communicating with and serving God. This group is for the novice who wants to grow or the established who needs some inspiration.
Long Description: This group will enjoy a survey of the Bible using a framework called CASKET EMPTY developed by Dr. Carol Kaminski. Each letter in the name symbolizes a biblical period or theme. This is a great introduction for anyone who lacks the big picture of the Bible. For those who already know it, we hope that the study will bring some fresh thoughts and joyful conversation. Further study materials will be provided for those who want to dig in further but no “homework” is required. We will encourage prayer and meditation on the topic each week with a chance to report back each meeting. The hope is that over the course of the life group we learn to think from a biblical perspective. We hope to truly ‘be transformed by the renewing our our minds.’ (Rom 12:2)
Leader: Jamie Sellers has a heart for helping others walk with God. He served for about 15 years in local church leadership from setting up chairs to lead pastor. He did his pastoral studies at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. Jamie is married to Julie. They are the parents of 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Jamie enjoys fishing, surfing, music, reading, and fixing broken things. (More Details)
