I’m a book collector of sorts. I love books, but more than that, I am fascinated by ideas.
Too often, I’ll buy a book, read the jacket, dive into the introduction, and think: Got it. The core paradigm shifts in my mind, and I'm ready to run with it. I don’t need the next ten chapters of filler. I want to chew on the core concept—to ruminate, meditate, and marinate on it.
For years, I’d get a spark of inspiration and try to write a traditional book. But I’d quickly burn out. I didn’t want to write fluff just to hit a word count. So I asked myself: Why not just write a short book? Why not just lay out the raw paradigm, ask a few piercing questions, and step out of the way?
Personally, I get far more out of wrestling with a raw concept than reading someone else’s "predigested" conclusions. There is no joy in being passive. Think of the parables of Jesus—He didn't hand out dense theological textbooks. He dropped a short, striking story into the dirt and left his listeners to wrestle with it.
That is exactly what this website is for.
These short books are designed to give you a potent idea, then hand you the time and space to work it out in your own life. I don’t want to do the thinking for you. I want you to take these concepts, marinate on them, and make them entirely your own.
Grab an idea. Start wrestling.
